Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei issues an edict on Wednesday accepting resignation of the head of the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB), Mohammad Sarafraz, and appointing Abdolali Ali Asgari as his successor, commending Mr. Sarafraz for his revolutionary and value-based efforts.
The complete text of the Leader’s edict is as follows:
In the Name of God, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful
Dr. Abdolali Ali Asgari (May his achievements continue)
In view of the resignation of Mr. Mohammad Sarafraz and while thanking him for his wholehearted revolutionary and value-based efforts, which must never be forgotten, I appoint you, who enjoy revolutionary background and managerial experiences in the national medium, as head of the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting.
What should be recommended has come in detail in my edict to Mr. Sarafraz. Therefore, I emphatically recommend you to pay due attention to planning, observing large scale strategies, attracting and keeping and training revolutionary and efficient forces, and effective presence in cyberspace, and put your trust and confidence in the Almighty God.
I ask the Almighty to help you succeed in this regard

In a separate edict, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution also appointed Mr. Sarafraz to membership at the Supreme Council of Cyberspace. Before being appointed as head of the IRIB, Mr. Sarafraz was natural-person member of the Supreme Council of Cyberspace.
