Following the proposal of the Chief of Justice to Ayatollah Khamenei to agree to grant amnesty and reduce the punishment of a significant number of the defendants and convicts of recent events, as well as those convicted by the General and Revolutionary Courts and the Judicial Organization of the Armed Forces, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution agreed to this proposal.
On the occasion of the arrival of the month of Rabi' al-Awwal and the arrival of the blessed birth anniversary of the seal of the prophets, Muhammad al-Mustafa (SAWAS) and Imam Ja'far al-Sadiq (a.s);, The Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution agreed with the proposal of pardon and reduced punishment of 1,862 people convicted by public and revolutionary courts, the judicial organization of the armed forces and government punishments.
On the occasion of the Mab'ath of Seal of the Prophets, Mohammad Mustafa (peace be upon him and his family), the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution agreed to offer amnesty or commutation of the sentences of seven hundred and forty-one (741) convicts of the General and Revolutionary Courts, the governmental discretionary punishments, and the Judicial Organization of the Armed Forces.
On the occasion of the anniversary of the glorious victory of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Khamenei agreed to the pardoning and commutation of the sentences of 3,388 convicts of public and Islamic Revolutionary Courts, the Judiciary Organization of the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran courts, and the courts of government offices.
On the auspicious occasion of the Eid-al-Fitr, or the Fast-Breaking Feast, the Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran Ayatollah Sayyid Ali Khamenei granted a request for the pardoning or commuting the sentences of 2,185 convicts on Saturday, November 5.
