Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei underlined today deepening of ties between the Iranian and Tajik nations as per the common language and culture.
According to IRIB, in a meeting in Tehran on the sidelines of the NAM Summit, in a meeting with Tajik President Imam Ali Rahmon, the Leader said on Thursday afternoon that honoring traditions, beliefs and customs would help consolidate relations and that by relying on these factors the two sides may fend off any foreign seditions.
Imam Ali Rahmon, for his part, briefed the Leader on the areas of mutual cooperation in economic, political, and cultural domains.
He also lauded informative speech by the Leader at the opening session of the NAM Summit Thursday morning and was confident that the Leader's advice would help activate the movement more than before.
The Tajik president called for close cooperation in order to foil the plots hatched by the enemies in the region.
