In a meeting with authorities in charge of Leader's representative offices in universities Sunday, Ayatollah Khamenei said the presence of religious Alims in academic areas was a blessing the Islamic Revolution brought to universities, adding that one can realize how the presence is crucial through a review of the negative propaganda and stern concerns the ill wishers of the nation have expressed in this regard.
Ayatollah Khamenei then chided those individuals in the society who ignore the positive developments in universities across the country, adding that for reaching a reliable opinion about the universities, any review of academic situation in the country shall give a touch both to positive and negative aspects.
The IR Leader then touched on the crucial youth time and said the current massive seductive propaganda within the community of universities can ring the alarm once one considers the nature of youths and how they might treat such propaganda, adding however that the realities on the ground are appreciable and favorable.
Ayatollah Khamenei then urged the relevant authorities to plan to enhance the intellectual strength of students besides their spiritual programs so that the students can affect their surrounding intellectually rather than being influenced by adverse issues.
Concerning university modules on religious teachings, Ayatollah Khamenei said such modules must be attuned with contemporary needs and demands as well as levels of the audience, adding that the Seminaries bear a key responsibility in supporting the universities.
