Leader of the Islamic Revolution and the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei, in a decree on Monday, appointed Rear Admiral Ali Fadavi as the new Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Navy commander.
Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces appointed Fadavi as the Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps Navy Force.
According to the decree, the appointment was proposed by the IRGC Commander Mohammad Ali Jafari, the decree said.
Ayatollah Khamenei made the new appointment because former IRGC Navy commander Rear Admiral Morteza Saffari had been assigned as the head of the IRGC military academy.
