Islamic Ummah must revisit the tenets of Islam and put the teachings of the Last Messenger of Allah to practice, Islamic Revolution Leader Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei urged Thursday, adding that the world of Islam could find the key to its prosperity in unanimity.
The Thursday meeting which came in celebration of the birthday anniversary of the Last Messenger of Allah, Hazrat Muhammad and the sixth Shii Imam, Hazrat Sadeq (S.A.) was attended among others by Heads of the three branches of System, Chairman of the System Interests council and guests of Tehran's two day conference of Islamic Unity which wrapped work Wednesday.
Ayatollah Khamenei said humanity owes morality and dignity to Hazrat Muhammad "the embodiment of Godly qualities and pick of the good ever" whose birth illuminated a world where negligence and meanness were lingering.
The IR Leader recommended the community of Islam to take light from the luminous standard of the Noblest Messenger, adding that it was an issue of enquiry why a huge community as the Muslims have has gone astray and undecided whereas it is in possession of a large population, a major geostrategic position and ample natural and human resources.
"Why have miseries of poverty, discrimination, and scientific backwardness still gripped the community? Why has it found itself unable to defend its rights in the face of the world bullies?"
The Leader of Islamic Revolution said the world of Islam has been revealing a feeble side in the Palestinian issue. He regretted that while the usurpation of the historical and revered land of Palestine which preceded an age of repression by criminal Zionists against the innocent Palestinian nation has left a deep wound on the body of Islamic Ummah, the latter treats the issue as irrelevant.
Ayatollah Khamenei said the fake, Zionist state of Israel was a perilous cancerous tumor inside the body of Islamic community, adding that the community may fend the malignant tumor and its backers only if it returns to Islam and the teachings of the respected Messenger.
The Leader said the community especially failed to defend the Muslim rights after its fell a pit of discord set up by America, Britain and other adversaries of Islam. "Those hegemons are well aware that the Islamic community would go unnoticed of the core issue of Palestine once it loses harmony and thereby fan the fire of sectarian discords in the heart of Shia, Sunni and followers of other Islamic sects," Ayatollah Khamenei cautioned.
The Islamic Revolution Leader then issued a collective call for unity to governments, intellectuals, scholars and activists of the world of Islam, adding that the track of cooperation and progress would break open and Muslim problems, even the Palestinian problem would in large part be resolved provided that Islamic awakening widens and Muslim hearts grow amicable to one another.
Ayatollah Khamenei then noted that a conviction cuts across different Islamic sects that it is mandatory for Muslims to defend any Islamic land that falls victim to aggression. "That the world of Islam, however, contrary to the conviction, has remained influenced by a US and British fuss leveled at Muslim unity," Ayatollah Khamenei bemoaned.
The Leader of Islamic Revolution said the IRI as bedrock policy pursues a unification of Muslims and a resolution of Palestinian problem. Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei recounted quotes from Imam Khomeini, the Great in this regard, adding that the Islamic System and the state consider it a religious must to pursue the agenda by word and deed.
Ayatollah Khamenei in sum noted that an ever widening wake-up in the Islamic world, emerging notably in pro-Palestinian cries effectually mirrored the rightful call of Islamic Republic.
The IR Leader urged the Muslim governments to take model from the Messenger and pursue Muslim unification and defend their rights particularly in the face of the cancerous tumor of Israel and its allies so that by God's assistance the Islamic Ummah becomes prosperous in the worldly life and the world to come.
