Leader of Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei, receiving the cast and crew of the TV series "Joseph, the Messenger of God" described the series as the herald of creative and artistic adaptation of narratives in the realm of Revolutionary art.
Ayatollah Khamenei spoke of creative adaptation as the key feature of the series and said, "In the modern world of art and cinema, one way to attract the audience is through sexual appeal, but the series attracted mass audience in Iran and other countries relying entirely on chastity and piety unlike the cliché for such series."
The Leader of Islamic revolution added that another remarkable feature of the series is the depiction of Joseph as an adroit and skillful messenger of God who had had managerial capabilities in addition to his spiritual and religious qualities.

"Most movie companies and those active in Hollywood are the symbol of the political will of an integrated system behind the scene of the US policy that sometimes goes beyond the limit of governments," Ayatollah Khamenei said.
The Leader of Islamic Revolution pointed to technological advancements in film industry as well as the use of the technology to affect thoughts and said the Islamic Republic of Iran has a lot to say and that it should be presented through effective and artistic methods.
Ayatollah Khamenei spoke of religious democracy manifested in Iran as an unprecedented and novel idea in the world that can be introduced to the world.
Ayatollah Khamenei called the courageous resistance of the Islamic system in front of injustice as one of the unprecedented realities in the world, adding: "Interesting and very popular ideas among nations exist in the Islamic system of Iran. They can be presented in the framework of long or short stories and in an artistic style."
Stressing the necessity of making further use of this capacity to promote the ideas of the Islamic system, he said: "Such artistic works will be great works definitely, but will never receive an Oscar prize or other artistic prizes, as today the scandalous conduct of global art-supporting organizations has been exposed to the world."
"These prizes have no value and artists should not make artistic works in pursuit of these prizes," IRI Leader added.
Urging artists to make artistic works for the sake of truth, Ayatollah Khamenei said: "One should learn artistic methods and strive for making artistic works based on truth and this goal will not be fulfilled except by the effort of dedicated artists and faithful youth."
The IRI Leader regarded lack of good story as one of the main shortcomings of local films and dramatic series, adding: "The strength of an artistic work is in its proper, strong and interesting storytelling and this area requires serious attention."
