Ayatollah Khamenei in the meeting made a speech about the developments in the country and said that the society was in dire need of ability to discern the evelopments. "Dust of sedition could not mislead anyone who commands an ability to discern," the Islamic Revolution Leader said.
The Leader of Islamic Revolution referred to ability to discern as a "compass which shows the right direction in the complicated world of today," and if one doesn't have the compass, he would end up surrounded by enemies.
The Leader of the Islamic Revolution added that people's wisdom and the youth's awareness blunt enemy's swords.
"If the sense is spared, one might lose the right way even though his intentions are right," Ayatollah Khamenei said.
The Leader spoke of the sense of discernment as a necessity to distinguish genuine goals, find the right way, and finally pinpoint and remove any obstacles.
Ayatollah Khamenei urged the people to understand the urgency of the matter and equip themselves with wisdom and knowledge.
The nation's respect for the Islamic establishment and their sensitivity towards internal affairs was anther key issue in the speech.
Ayatollah Khamenei spoke of deep concerns about what happened after the June election and said, "When a majority of 85% went to the polls, Muslims became happy. But the enemies' efforts to undermine the victory with slandering and disruption of law and order had worried them. Yet, this is a sign of their continued interest in the doctrine of the Islamic Republic. "
Ayatollah Khamenei also spoke of blurring the line between right and wrong as an old trick of those who opposed Islam throughout history.
Ayatollah Khamenei said any move which makes angry the enemies of the nation and the system including the arrogance and Zionism is the right move and any move which make them happy is the wrong one.
The IR Leader said the nation can identify its mistakes and make up for them after facing with angry or happy reactions of the enemy in different occasions.
The IR Leader said the system has two pillars of Islamic and republic, adding that people's participation in establishing the system and electing its authorities manifests the republic side of the system.
Ayatollah Khamenei added that the republic side also means that the officials should accompany people and live like them. "They should avoid dictatorship, gentility and indifference towards people," he added.
In the same regard, Ayatollah Khamenei advised the officials to respect people's values, reputation, personality and identity.
Over the Islamic side of the system, the IR Leader underlined that the system was relying on religion and spirituality and that different aspects of the republic side of the system were supported by the Islamic and spiritual side of the system, adding that any move to promote the system would be granted a divine award.
Ayatollah Khamenei termed the Islamic Republic as a unique example of the early Islamic ear government adding that the enmity of dictators against the system was natural and that the results of their 30-year enmity were the wonderful progress of the great Iranian nation.
