IR Leader urges enthusiastic presence in polls

The Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei arrived the city of Sanandaj, the capital of Kurdistan province this morning where he was warmly welcomed by enthusiastic and zealous crowds.

Speaking in front of enthusiastic crowds of Kurdistan's brave and zealous people, Ayatollah Khamenei stressed on the importance of the tenth presidential elections and said: "What is important and is of premier importance is the people's enthusiastic presence in the elections."

The IR Leader also advised the candidates of the presidential elections to avoid giving unrealistic statistics and numbers which lead to the disappointment of people.

In another part of his speech, the IR Leader referred to the unity and compatibility among different parts of the society and said:" This compatibility and unity should be appreciated."

Ayatollah Khamenei regarded preserving national unity as the main element for progress and development.

Referring to the importance of people's awareness in front of seditious agents, the IR Leader added: "He who makes sedition in front of people's unity is the enemy's agent whether he knows or not."

Ayatollah Khamenei pointed to the pressures and threats of the world arrogance against the Islamic system and stressed:" The Islamic system has not retreated in front of the arrogance so far and will not do so henceforth."

The IR Leader regarded national dignity as one of the divine gifts which was bestowed to the Iranian people due to the Revolution and said: "The great late Imam (Khomeini) is the symbol of national dignity."

Referring to the enemy's efforts to wage civil war in Iran, Ayatollah Khamenei added: "The enemy will never sit calm, and regarding different races as alien is the enemy's most important weapon in this regard."

In another part of his speech, the IR Leader referred to the works that were done for development and progress of Kurdistan province and said: "One of the good works in this regard is the visits by executive officials to different parts of the country."
