The Islamic Revolution Leader:

Joint power brings positive results in any process

The Islamic Revolution Leader Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei received visiting Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari on Tuesday afternoon.

Referring to the two nations' historical and cultural commonalities, the IR Leader said the deep affection of Iranians and Pakistanis for each other is a good ground for expanding bilateral ties.

He described the progress in Tehran-Islamabad ties good and added that the level of ties can be promoted regarding the capacities of the both countries.

The Islamic Revolution Leader said security in IRI and Pakistan was completely interconnected.

Referring to the joint important projects like railroad of Pakistan-IRI-Turkey and gas pipeline of IRI-Pakistan-India, Ayatollah Khamenei told Pakistani President," We hope that with your wisdom and prudence, these big projects could be completed in the best manner."

The IR Leader said cooperation between neighboring and Islamic countries could increase their power and the joint power would lead to positive results in any process.

"Wherever America enters or penetrates the situation would be more complicated and the problems would be increased," Ayatollah Khamenei reiterated adding the phenomenon of religious radicalism in the region including Pakistan has created a lot of troubles.

President Zardari for his part referred to the unique ties between the two countries and said," We are trying by all means to expand relations with Iran and we believe that joint plans between the two countries are in benefit of present and future generations of both nations."

"Nowadays every body knows that it is possible to conquer and weaken a nation, but it is impossible to ruin a nation," Zardari added.
