Kazakhstan, a great land with diversified resources

Islamic Revolution Leader Ayatollah Sayed Ali Khamenei told the visiting Kazakhstan President Nursultan Nazarbayev and his accompanying delegation Monday evening that Iran and Kazakhstan enjoy good relations while there are many capacities for them to broaden their bilateral ties.

Ayatollah Khamenei expressed hope the two countries would see their relations further expanded especially after several constructive and fruitful agreements reached earlier in the day are put to work.

Ayatollah Khamenei strongly stated that a fold of countries with common interests would serve their grandeur by forming alliance.

The IR Leader described Kazakhstan as a great land with diversified resources as well as many common grounds with Iran in terms of culture and religion.

Ayatollah Khamenei noted that both sides would take benefit from their mutual bonds and that the Islamic Republic of Iran welcomes the expansion of bilateral ties with Kazakhstan.

"Indeed some powers including America are against the expansion. However, the Islamic Republic of Iran concerning the ties with different countries only pays regard to its own interests as well as the interests of the world of Islam and the regional nations," Ayatollah Khamenei said.

Ayatollah Khamenei described the summit of the Caspian Sea littoral states as a proper opportunity for the countries to deepen their bilateral relations, adding that the Islamic Republic of Iran at the moment holds a favorable position and has managed to accomplish excellent works despite pressures from certain world powers.

The meeting was also attended by IRI President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.

Nursultan Nazarbayev for his part expressed deep consent over his meeting with the Islamic Revolution Leader.

The Kazakh President evaluated his negotiations with his Iranian counterpart earlier in the day as cordial and fruitful, adding that Kazakhstan always wishes for broadened ties with the Islamic Republic of Iran because it considers Iran a great and infl uential country in the region.

He described Iran's stance on nuclear issue as logical, adding that all countries are eligible to peaceful application of nuclear energy as a scientific advance.
