The Islamic Revolution Leader and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Ayatollah Sayed Ali Khamenei in a decree on Monday appointed Rear Admiral Habibollah Sayyari as Commander of the Islamic Republic Army's Navy.
"Per a proposal from General Commander of the Islamic Republic Army and given your good record, I hereby appoint you as Commander of the Islamic Republic Army's Navy. I expect that combat readiness and capabilities of the naval force, which showed remarkable progress during and after the Sacred Defense era would further increase," read the decree.
Ayatollah Khamenei also thanked Rear Admiral Sajjad Kouchaki for his efforts and services during his tenure as Commander of the Islamic Republic Army's Navy and wished him all success.
