I.R. of Iran looks up to Africa

Islamic Revolution Leader Ayatollah Sayed Ali Khamenei put accent on the sensitive geographical position of the Islamic countries and their enormous capital during a meeting with visiting Gambian President al-Haji Yahya Jammeh Monday morning.

"Islamic governments and Muslim nations must heed their strong point of 'the Islamic Ummah collective identity' and resolve the problems facing the world of Islam on their own by utilizing their potentials," Ayatollah Khamenei urged.

The Leader of the Islamic Revolution underlined the existing potentialities of the world of Islam, adding provided the Islamic Ummah and its potentials and capabilities are considered overall in one single glance, the Muslims and Islamic governments will find themselves mighty on every ground and could resolve their problems.

Ayatollah Khamenei appreciated the Gambian government for undertaking efforts to carry out Islamic laws.

The IR Leader then affirmed that Iran looks up to Africa in a brotherly mood and expressed hope the levels of bilateral ties between the Islamic Republic of Iran and Gambia would further expand.

In the meeting, also attended by President Mahmoud Ahmadinejd, the Gambian President underlined the momentous role of the I.R. of Iran in the world and said that the Iranian Islamic System has proved conducive to promotion of the status of Islam and Muslims worldwide.

Jammeh briefed the IR Leader on the ongoing situation in Africa as well as his own government's achievements.

"We are willing to consolidate the already favorable relations of the two countries," he underscored.
