Islamic Revolution Leader Ayatollah Sayed Ali Khamenei Sunday highlighted the present time Islamic awakening with Islam turning to great strategy of life thank to Islamic Revolution in Iran.
Addressing members of the European-based Students Islamic Associations Union, Ayatollah Khamenei said all lovers of Islam and the Islamic Revolution, especially the young, faithful and enlightened associations, have duty to make unwavering efforts to meet aspirations of the Islamic system, promote system principles and thwart any deviation.
Ayatollah Khamenei attached dire significance to acquiring sagacity, far-seeing and clear-cut parameters to distinguish between truth and falsehood and move in the path of truth while combat against falsehood.
"At time when the world is in the grip of big challenges, every one must fulfill the great responsibility by duly introducing Islam and avoiding any deviation, obscurantism, narrow-mindedness, syncretism or shortsightedness," Ayatollah Khamenei said.
The I.R. Leader moreover pointed to certain attempts in the pre-Islamic Revolution era to fake a dissent between religion and mankind progress and science, adding at that time university students associations in home and abroad challenged the idea and showed that getting familiar with advances and modern life horizons never crosses religious practice and deep faith in religious values and principles.
"In Islam's view, moving towards progress in various life arenas and achieving untouched horizons of science is a value," the Leader asserted.
Ayatollah Khamenei commemorated the memory of the martyr Ayatollah Beheshti as the founder of the European-based Students Islamic Associations Union.
