IR Leader extols Lebanese resistance

Islamic Revolution Leader Ayatollah Sayed Ali Khamenei extolled Saturday the valiant and faithful resistance of the Lebanese nation and Hezbollah and called it the manifest of uprising of the world of Islam and Arab and that they are sick and tired of America.

Ayatollah Khamenei made the remarks during a meeting with Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez, adding that at present the whole Muslim world and Arab nations as well as world's free nations are backing Lebanese Hezbollah and the movement's leader has turned into a highly popular figure in the world of Islam and Arab owing to the movement's brave resistance against America and the Zionist regime.

"If polls are staged in every Arab or Islamic country, nations will absolutely voice their support to the resistance of the Lebanese Hezbollah," Ayatollah Khamenei told a visiting Chavez.

Ayatollah Khamenei called the Zionist regime's invasion of Lebanon an American-premeditated war adding Americans fielded the Zionist regime having thought they would take a giant stride to materialize American Middle East, but they had ignored the Lebanese nation in their assessments.

The IR Leader said that America by the so-called 'New Middle East' or 'Great Middle East' seeks to create a Middle East with puppet regimes under the reign of the Zionist regime, adding the preemptive raid of the Lebanese Hezbollah pushed America and the usurper Zionist regime to a passive position and the heroic and magnificent resistance of the Lebanese nation and Hezbollah which represents the nation caused America's planning to end up in failure.

"However, Americans still refuse to savvy the realities, unable to understand the power of the Lebanese nation, so they accuse others of meddling in the Lebanese affairs," Ayatollah Khamenei said.

Ayatollah Khamenei called the ruling American administration an unaware group which ignores world realities and suffers illusion, adding America and the Zionist regime instead of realizing the reason behind their failure, moved to massacre Lebanese defenseless people in a passive mode.

Ayatollah Khamenei called the ongoing crimes of the Zionist regime in Lebanon that have America's backing behind rare crimes, expressing regrets that the conscience of the so-called civilized world and the world bodies that profess to champion human rights and democracy even do not turn a hair and remain unmoved.

Ayatollah Khamenei said that at this juncture the governments and nations which enjoy human conscience must bear the important undertaking of perseverance and solidarity, adding the world today has undergone changes and many nations have woken up, protesting against America's repressive position, because nations dislike a superpower knows itself as the owner of the world by moving against it.

Ayatollah Khamenei approved Venezuelan President's meeting comments that America's time is over, adding the reality is logically evident in the international scene and the number of nations and countries which are standing up to America is increasing day by day.

Ayatollah Khamenei said Chavez's position towards world affairs reminds one of Simon De Bolivar's, the Latin American revolutionary figure.

Ayatollah Khamenei also underscored the expansion of Iran-Venezuela cooperation in various fields.

During the meeting, also attended by President Mahmoud Ahamdinejad, Hugo Chavez for his part expressed pleasure that he visited Iran again. He called Venezuela's Bolivarian revolution the brother of Iran's Islamic Revolution, adding that Venezuela is decisive to expand ties with Iran in various fields and different letters of cooperation have been concluded between the two countries.

Chavez stressed that America's emperor is falling. He delivered a report on the Latin American situation, adding that America's power is increasingly shrinking, the proof of which the ever increasing number of anti-American government in Latin America.

Venezuelan President urged for solidarity among the countries which hold single position against America's policies, adding such countries must expand mutual cooperation and increase their power, unfazed with America's threats.
