IR Leader receives Senegalese President

Islamic Revolution Leader Ayatollah Sayed Ali Khamenei Tuesday told the visiting Senegalese President that committment of the Islamic countries' officials to Islamic unity provides for the progress and sovereignty of the Islamic Ummah.

Ayatollah Khamenei expressed his pleasure with the agreement reached between the presidents of Iran and Senegal for the final implementation of the deals previously clinched by the two countries.

The IR Leader called Senegal a stable country that enjoys prudent authorities and also people interested in the household of the last messenger of Allah, peace be upon them, adding that the Islamic Republic of Iran is ready to cooperate with Senegal on a broad and all-out ground.

Ayatollah Khamenei then touched on the endurance of the Iranian nation in the face of conpiracies and excessive expectations of the arrogant powers, adding that the perseverence helped the amply talented young Iranians to flourish.

"Iran is witnessing the miraculous progress of its young scientists in various scientific domains," Ayatollah Khamenei said, adding that obtaining nuclear technology, especially without foreign assistance, is a clear example of such achievements.

The IR Leader pointed to Iran's capacities to settle its nuclear issue, adding "we never negotiate about our inalienable right of possessing the technology with any one, but provided our right is recognized, we are ready to negotiate about international safeguards, inspections and guarantees in this reagard and grounds are provided for negoitiations on the theme.

Pointing to world powers' efforts to exploit the issue of negotiation to exert pressures on other countries, Ayatollah Khamenei asserted that Iran considers negotiations with America as useless and feels no need to have some.

The IR Leader considered the Islamic countries' opposition to America's and Zionists' expectations by voicing their appoval about Iran's nuclear rights as essential and conducive to boost the Islamic Ummah.

Ayatollah Khamenei praised Senegal for its stance towards the issue, adding the upncoming African Union Summit to which the IRI President is invited is a favorable opportunity to adopt such a position.

Ayatollah Khamenei touched on the reciprocal effect of the fate of the Islamic Ummah one the one hand and the fate of every single Islamic country and Muslim nation on one another, saying, "arrogants are not willing to witness the emergence of the Islamic Ummah as an immense global power and for the same reason America and the Zionist regime have mobilized all their forces to create discords in the world of Islam."

"Authorities of the Islamic countries must be vigilant to track and foil these attempts," Ayatollah Khamenei urged.

Senegalese President for his part expressed pleasure with his visit to Iran and described his talks with his Iranian counterpart as truely positive.

Abdullah Wade expressed hope the bilateral ties between Tehran and Dakar would be further strengthened through the final implementation of the signed agreements.

Wade called Iran and Senegal two influential members of the Organization of the Islamic Countries (OIC).

The Senegalese President pointed to ample capacities of the world of Islam adding to boost the Islamic Ummah's sovereignty and its position in the international scene, the authorities of the Islamic countries must show political resolve and the Muslim countries must close ranks and cooperate with each other.

Wade expressed hope the issue will be seriously dealt with in the upcoming summit of the member nations of the Organization of the Islamic Countries.

The Senegalese chief executive voiced suuport of his country to Iran's right to use nuclear energy and expressed hope the issue will be settled diplomatically.

Abdullah Wade termed Africa a gifted continent for investment and called on the Iranian private sector to up ventures in African countries, Senegal in particular.

Meanwhile, President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad was present at the meeting.
