Tehran, March 6 - Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution received Monday a group of police commanders.
Touching on the position of the police and the effects it has in the society via its performance, Ayatollah Sayed Ali Khamenei said that the body is duty-bound to secure the life, properties, moral and welfare of people. He praised police as the source of pride for the Islamic system.
The Commander in Chief emphasized that the body must indisputably enjoy authority, adding that the maintaining of order in the country demonstrates the sovereignty of the system which, in turn, can produce a deep effect provided it comes along with modesty, politeness, affection and devoutness.
At the beginning of the meeting, Ahmadi-Moqaddam, the police chief, delivered a report on the performance and activities of the force during the current Iranian year as well as its next year's agenda.
Moqaddam praised all related bodies for their cooperation and said that the police performance is improving in all aspects.
