The Leader of the Revolution's Eid al-Fitr Sermon:

THE ZIONIST REGIME IS THE ONLY REGIONAL PROXY ITS REMOVAL, A CLEAR DUTY

The blessed Eid al-Fitr prayers were held this morning across Iran with unforgettable grandeur and an overwhelming turnout by the devout nation. In the capital, vast multitudes, their hearts steadfast in faith, and filled with hope in God's grace and support, performed the Eid prayer, led by the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Khamenei. Their numbers filled Tehran's Musallā and the surrounding streets.

In the first Eid sermon, Ayatollah Khamenei congratulated the Iranian nation and the Islamic Ummah on Eid al-Fitr, as well as on Nowruz, (the Persian New Year), and the 12th of Farvardin in the Iranian calendar date, which is the anniversary of the establishment of the Islamic Republic as the nation's chosen system. He described this year's Ramadan as a month of spiritual and inner growth, marked by the nation's political engagement and faith-driven activism.

He described Ramadan as one of the greatest of divine blessings, a manifestation of tawḥīd, a God-given opportunity for His servants to attain piety and closeness to Him, to purify their souls and spirits, and to renew their spiritual lives. He said, "Fasting is intimacy with the Qur'an, the Nights of Qadr, acts of supplication, pleading, and whispered prayers. They are some of the invaluable and soul-forming opportunities of the blessed month of Ramadan."

Among the radiant signs of the Iranian nation's spiritually rich Ramadan, the Leader of the Revolution mentioned: the heightened intimacy with the Qur'an, the widespread practice of charity and public ifṭār meals in mosques, religious centres, and public spaces, as well as the fervent and massive participation of all segments of society in all their diversity, especially the youth, in gatherings of supplication, prayer, and devotion. He urged everyone to strive to benefit from and preserve the spiritual gains of this great month until the next Ramadan.

He praised the Iranian people's passionate and deeply meaningful marches on International Quds Day, held on the last Friday of the holy month, stating, "This great movement of the nation conveyed various messages to the people of the world who need to understand and recognise the Iranian people, and these messages have reached their ears."

In the second Eid sermon, Ayatollah Khamenei described the continuing genocide and the wanton killing of children by the Zionist regime in Gaza and Lebanon during the month of Ramadan as a source of bitter anguish for the Islamic Ummah. He said, "These crimes have been carried out under the cover of ongoing U.S. support for the criminal gang occupying Palestine."

He referred to the Zionist regime as the proxy force of colonial powers in the region. Adding, "Western powers repeatedly accuse the brave nations and valiant youth of the region of being proxies, but it is abundantly clear that the only true proxy force in the region is the corrupt regime [Israel] that, through warmongering, genocide, and aggression against other countries, continues to execute and complete the designs of those nations that laid claim to this region after World War II."

Referencing the anti-terrorism claims of colonial powers who dominate the world through financial and media influence, the Leader of the Revolution stated, "These very powers who label peoples' defence of their rights and homelands as terrorism and criminality are the ones who either turn a blind eye to the genocide and overt terrorist acts of the Zionists — or else actively aid such activities."

Referring to the assassinations of figures such as Abū Jihād, Fathī Shiqāqī, Aḥmad Yāsīn, and Imād Mughniyyah across various countries at the hands of the Zionist regime, as well as the numerous assassinations of Iraqi scientists carried out by that regime, he said, "America and a number of Western countries openly defend these blatant terrorist acts, while the rest of the world merely watches in silence."

Ayatollah Khamenei vehemently condemned the hypocrisy of self-proclaimed human rights advocates regarding the martyrdom of nearly 20,000 Palestinian children in less than two years, stating, "Indeed, people worldwide—including in Europe and America—protest against the Zionists and the U.S. to the extent that they have become aware of these crimes. Were full information disseminated, nations would undoubtedly escalate their outrage."

In a summary of the facts presented, he emphasised, "This criminal, wicked, and murderous group must be eradicated from Palestine and the region and by the grace and power of God, it shall be so. Efforts in this regard are a religious, moral, and humanitarian duty for all of humankind."

Pointing to the Islamic Republic's consistent stance on the region, the Leader of the Revolution said, "Our position remains unchanged — and so too does the enmity of America and the Zionist regime, just as it always has."

At the close of the second sermon, Ayatollah Khamenei addressed two important points regarding the recent threatening rhetoric from the United States.

First, he said, "If any act of aggression comes from outside — though its likelihood is not high — it will most certainly be met with a firm retaliatory blow."

Second, he continued, "If the enemy, as in certain previous years, entertains the idea of inciting sedition within the country, the nation will respond to the instigators just as it did in those years — with decisive resolve."
