Mr Ziyad al-Nakhala, the Secretary-General of Palestinian Islamic Jihad, and his accompanying delegation met this afternoon with Ayatollah Khamenei, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution.

During the meeting, Ayatollah Khamenei congratulated the Resistance on its victory in Gaza and said, “The great achievement of Palestinian Resistance leaders and fighters lies in their unity, cohesion, and steadfastness against the enemy, as well as in advancing the complex negotiation process. Moreover, the patience and resilience of the people have brought honour to the Resistance in the region."

The Leader of the Revolution described the victory of the Islamic Resistance and the people of Gaza over the Zionist and American enemy as a momentous achievement, stating, "This victory has set a new benchmark in the struggles of the Resistance."

Referring to certain foolish American plans and other proposals concerning Gaza and Palestine, Ayatollah Khamenei remarked, “These plans will lead nowhere. The same individuals who, a year and a half ago, claimed they would destroy the Resistance in a short time are now receiving their captives in small groups from the Resistance fighters while having to release large numbers of Palestinian prisoners in return."

He described the Resistance’s method of handing over Zionist captives as a manifestation of its greatness before the eyes of the world. He added, "Global public opinion is now in favour of Palestine, and under these circumstances, no plan will succeed without the consent of the Resistance and the people of Gaza."

In this meeting, Mr Ziyad al-Nakhalah, Secretary-General of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad, congratulated the Leader of the Revolution on the great victory of the Resistance in Gaza. He attributed this success to the unwavering support of the Islamic Republic and the guidance of the martyred Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah. He said, "Over the past year and a half, the Palestinian Resistance has effectively been at war with the United States and the West. Despite the imbalance of power, the Resistance has achieved great victories."

The Secretary-General of Palestinian Islamic Jihad highlighted the "unity and cohesion" of Palestinian and Lebanese Resistance groups, both on the battlefield and politically, as a key factor in Gaza’s victory. Providing a report on the latest developments in Gaza, the West Bank, and the negotiation process, he vowed, "We will never forget the path of Resistance, and as soldiers of the Resistance, we will continue on this path."
