Emphasising that expanding ties with neighbouring countries is the definitive policy of the Islamic Republic, he stated, "One of the declared policies of Mr Pezeshkian's government is also to expand relations with neighbouring countries, and by the grace of God, good work has been done in this regard, and notable progress has been made. Mr. Araghchi, the esteemed Minister of Foreign Affairs, is actively engaged and dynamic in this field."

The Leader of the Islamic Revolution expressed hope that the agreements reached in Tehran would benefit both countries and that both sides would be able to fulfil their neighbourly duties more than ever before.

During the meeting, Ayatollah Khamenei also referred to the Emir of Qatar's remarks on regional issues, stating, "We consider Qatar a friendly and brotherly nation. However, unresolved matters remain, such as the return of Iran's claims that were transferred from South Korea to Qatar. We know that the main obstacle to implementing the agreement in this regard is the United States."

He noted, "If we were in Qatar's position, we would not pay attention to U.S. pressure and would return the other party's claims, and we still expect such an action from Qatar."

The Leader of the Islamic Revolution said, "There is no difference between U.S. presidents."

In this meeting, which was also attended by President Pezeshkian, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Emir of Qatar, expressed his pleasure at meeting with the Leader of the Islamic Revolution. He thanked the Islamic Republic for its stance in supporting the oppressed worldwide and the people of Palestine. Addressing the Leader, he stated: "Your steadfast support for the Palestinian people will never be forgotten."

The Emir of Qatar spoke about the particularly challenging conditions in the region and stated that these conditions require greater cooperation among the regional countries.

The Emir of Qatar referred to the region's difficult and unique circumstances and emphasised the need for greater cooperation among regional countries.

Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani also highlighted the agreements reached between Iran and Qatar, including the construction of an underwater tunnel connecting the two nations.
