The Leader of the Islamic Revolution met this morning with thousands of eulogists, poets of the Ahlul-Bayt (a.s.), and people from various walks of life on the blessed anniversary of the birth of Lady Fatimah al-Zahra (s.a.). He described Lady Fatimah al-Zahra (s.a.) as the perfect role model for all humanity, "standing for truth, persevering, courageousness, having candour, and the strength of logic and reasoning." Commenting on the efforts of enemies to spread fear, discord, and despair in society, he said, "A characteristic of the followers of Satan is to exaggerate and fabricate, and the solution to this is the jihad of clarification, the presentation of truths, and presenting sound, acceptable logic."
Ayatollah Imam Khamenei also pointed out that none of the Zionist regime's goals to destroy Hamas and Hezbollah has been achieved, stating, "The honourable nations of the region, by divine grace, will uproot the vile regime and shape a better future for the region."
Addressing regional issues that included the situation in Syria, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution said, "A group of agitators, assisted, planned, and schemed up by foreign governments, exploited Syria's internal weaknesses to plunge the country into chaos.
He referred to his earlier remarks about the U.S.'s dual strategy for regional countries: imposing a submissive autocratic regime or, failing that, fomenting chaos and disorder. He added, "In Syria, their plan resulted in chaos and disorder. Now, the U.S., the Zionist regime, and their allies feeling victorious are indulging in boastful rhetoric and empty talk, much like the followers of Satan."
Ayatollah Khamenei described the remarks of a U.S. official who said he was calling for support for anyone causing unrest in Iran as an example of the enemies' boastful rhetoric. He added, "The fools seem to think they smell success, but the Iranian nation will crush underfoot anyone who accepts being a pawn for America in this regard."
Another point he highlighted that related to regional developments was the Zionist entity's feigned victory and boastful rhetoric. "You miserable people, where did you achieve victory?" He said, "Is it a victory to have killed over forty thousand women and children with bombs yet fail to achieve even one of your declared objectives at the start of the war? Did you eliminate Hamas or free your captives in Gaza? Despite assassinating a towering figure like Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, did you succeed in dismantling Hezbollah in Lebanon?"
The Leader of the Revolution described the resistance in the region, including Hezbollah, Hamas, and Islamic Jihad, as vibrant and thriving; addressing the Zionists, he said, "You are not victorious; rather, you are defeated."
He saw the Zionists' advance into Syrian territory and their occupation of certain areas as only due to the complete lack of resistance by not even a single soldier. He said, "This unimpeded movement was not a victory. The brave and valiant Syrian youth will drive you out of there without a doubt."
The third point Ayatollah Khamenei covered regarding regional developments pertained to the psychological and propaganda warfare against Iran that centred on claims that it lost its proxy forces in the region.
He emphasised that the Islamic Republic has no proxy forces, stating, "Yemen, Hezbollah, Hamas, and Islamic Jihad fight because of their faith and conviction. Their belief and strength of faith bring them to the battlefield of resistance, not as proxies for us."
The Leader said that the Islamic Republic does not need proxy forces even if it decides to act on some occasion, stating, "Faithful and honourable men in Yemen, Iraq, Lebanon, Palestine, and, God willing, in the near future in Syria, are fighting against oppression, crimes, and the illegitimate Zionist regime. The Islamic Republic also fights, and with God's will, we will remove this regime from the region."
The Leader said that these remarks were not political statements. They were tangible and experienced realities. For example, he referred to the emergence of Hezbollah as a strong, steadfast, and honourable entity out of Lebanon's chaos and internal conflicts in the 1980s; he said, "From those threats and insecurities, a great opportunity like Hezbollah arose. Events such as the martyrdom of its great leaders, including Sayyid Abbas Mousavi, not only did not weaken it but made it stronger. The present and future of the Resistance will follow the same path."
Ayatollah Khamenei said that turning threats into opportunities requires vigilance, a sense of responsibility, and fulfilling one's duties. He asserted that the region's future would be brighter than its present; he stated, "We foresee the emergence of a strong and honourable group in Syria as well because today, Syrian youth have nothing left to lose. Their schools, universities, homes, and streets are unsafe. Therefore, with determination and strength of will, they must stand against the planners and perpetrators of insecurity and overcome them."
He also elaborated in the first part of his speech on the character of the Lady of the Worlds, saying,
"The entirety of her life, especially the brief period after the Prophet's (s.) passing, was a continuous exposition of truths and the firm principles of religion. This serves as a model and a pinnacle, which, though unattainable, is one we must continually strive towards."
The Leader of the Islamic Revolution elaborated on the meaning of a hadith from the Seal of the Prophets, stating that "Love and affection for Lady Fatimah (s.a.) benefits a person in one hundred instances, the easiest of which is at the time of death and in the grave," and added, "The simple meaning of this hadith highlights the countless benefits that love and devotion to Lady Fatimah (s.a.) bring. However, the profound meaning of the hadith is that if a person acts in ways that attract her love, they will reap unparalleled benefits and blessings in one hundred critical instances."
He regarded adopting Lady Fatimah's (s.a.) characteristics as the way to attract the affection of this unique personality. He said, "One of the most important characteristics is that the continuous clarification of truths, and eulogising, in essence, are the continuation of this jihad of clarification."
Ayatollah Khamenei referred to another hadith from the Prophet Muhammad (s) that states, "A believer sometimes engages in jihad with their life or sword and sometimes with their tongue. " He said, "The jihad of the tongue can sometimes hold greater importance and impact than jihad with one's life."
The Leader of the Revolution identified the clarification of contemporary issues as a genuine need. Referring to the enemy's overt and covert planning and expenditure to create doubts and distort truths, he said, "Eulogists are among those who can effectively respond to the enemy through jihad of elucidation, raising awareness, instilling hope, and fostering action." He described eulogists as warriors of the tongue. He added, "Eulogizing is a comprehensive medium and a combined art that manifests itself in form and content, words and meaning, poetry and melody, voice, crowd management, and face-to-face engagement with the people."
Ayatollah Khamenei denoted the triad of fear-mongering, sowing discord, and spreading despair as the cornerstone of the anti-Islamic and anti-Iranian agenda of the enemy. He said, "The primary tactic and craft of Satan is to instil fear and panic, and those skilled in literature, poetry, and thought must, with compelling logic, inspire courage, awareness, and steadfastness among the people."
At the beginning of this gathering, eight eulogists and poets from across the country recited eulogies and praised the virtues of the Ahlul-Bayt (a.s.). The attendees also collectively sang hymns to honour the status of Lady Fatimah al-Zahra (s.a).
