This morning, on Thursday, 1st August 2024, Ayatollah Khamenei, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, led the funeral prayers over the bodies of Martyr Ismail Haniyeh, the head of the Hamas Political Bureau, and Martyr Wasim Abu Sha'ban, Mr Haniyeh's companion, at the University of Tehran.
Many people from various walks of life attended the prayer ceremony, including state and military officials, the family of Martyr Ismail Haniyeh, and members of the Islamic Resistance from Palestine and Lebanon.
After leading the prayers, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution met with the family of Martyr Ismail Haniyeh and officials from the Islamic Resistance of Palestine, offering them his condolences and support
