The commemoration ceremony for the Martyrs of Service was held this morning at the Imam Khomeini Hussainiyah with the Leader of the Islamic Revolution present. The martyrs included Hujjat al-Islam wa al-Muslimin Raisi, Dr Amir Abdullahian, Hujjat al-Islam wa al-Muslimin Ale-Hashim, the Friday Prayer Leader of Tabriz, Dr Malik Rahmati, the Governor of East Azerbaijan, General Seyyid Mehdi Mousawi, the Commander of the Presidential Protection Unit, and the flight crew: Brigadier General Pilot Seyyid Tahir Mustafawi, Brigadier General Pilot Muhsin Daryanoush, and Lieutenant Colonel Technician Behrooz Qadimi,
Thousands of people from various segments of society, families of the martyrs, the heads of branches of government, national and military officials, foreign guests, including the President of Iraq and several other officials from that country, as well as ambassadors from various countries, attended the ceremony. International reciters recited verses from the Quran, and eulogists of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) recited eulogies and lamentations.
In the ceremony, Hujjat al-Islam Rafiei highlighted some characteristics of the Martyrs of Service in his speech and mentioned Hujjat al-Islam wa al-Muslimin Raisi in his sincere and devoted service to the people. He said, "According to God's promise, He places love in the hearts of the people for those who perform righteous deeds and serve them sincerely and honestly, and we saw this in the grand funeral of these martyrs."
