On 23rd January 2024, Ayatollah Imam Khamenei, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, criticised the performance of officials from Islamic countries in their response to the very important issue of Gaza.
He said, “Some of the positions and statements of officials from Islamic countries are wrong because they talk about issues such as a ceasefire in Gaza, which is outside their control and in the hands of the evil Zionist enemy. Officials from Islamic countries should take action on the issues that are within their control.”
The Leader of the Islamic Revolution said that the one thing that is within the power of the governments of Islamic countries is their being able to cut off the vital arteries to the Zionist regime, which are their political and economic ties with that regime, and not to help it.
He remarked that despite the inappropriate performance of the officials of Islamic countries and all the difficulties they have encountered, God is with the believing people, just as it has been stated in the Qur’an. And wherever God is, victory will undoubtedly be. Ayatollah Imam Khamenei added, “The victory of the people of Gaza is certain, and God will show this victory to the Islamic world in the not-too-distant future. This victory will bring joy to the hearts of Muslims, especially to the Palestinians and those of Gaza.”
