On the occasion of the anniversary of the glorious victory of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Khamenei agreed to the pardoning and commutation of the sentences of 3,388 convicts of public and Islamic Revolutionary Courts, the Judiciary Organization of the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran courts, and the courts of government offices.
On the occasion of the anniversary of the glorious victory of the Islamic Revolution, Gholam-Hossein Mohseni-Eje'i, The Chief Justice of Iran, wrote a letter to the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution proposing pardoning or commutation or changing of the sentence of 3,388 convicts who were deemed eligible by the Parole Commission. Ayatollah Khamenei approved this proposal in implementing Section 11 of Article 110 of the Constitution.
