Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei has expressed deep sorrow over the killing of innocent people in the recent terrorist incidents in Afghanistan.
“By relocating Daesh terrorists to Afghanistan, the US seeks to justify its presence in the region and ensure security for the Zionist regime,” said the Leader before beginning his lecture on advanced jurisprudence to seminary students.
Ayatollah Khamenei pointed to the involvement of Daesh in the massacre of hundreds of people in the incidents which happened in Afghanistan in recent months, adding, “The same hands that created Daesh and turned it into a means for crime and oppression in Syria and Iraq are today seeking to transfer Daesh to Afghanistan following the group’s defeats in those regions, and the recent killings are in fact the beginning of this plot.”
The Leader of the Islamic Revolution added, “For US-backed terrorists, there is no difference between Shia and Sunni, and civilians, whether Shia or Sunni, are their target.”
He said the main policy of the US is to engage regional nations with themselves and said, “The US wants this region not to see good days, and wants the nations and governments to be busy with their own affairs, so that they would not think of confronting the evil agent of hegemony, namely Zionism.”
By creating insecurity, said Ayatollah Khamenei, the US also seeks to justify its presence in the region.
“The Americans themselves are the main source of insecurity in Afghanistan, and the killings in this region [which have happened] since 20 years ago in the name of religion, were either directly or indirectly carried out by US cronies, and now they are also seeking to ensure their presence by creating insecurity and advance their political and economic objectives.”
The Leader of the Islamic Revolution said, “May God curse the hegemony and its agents and the criminal and evil Zionist regime and the US that are devastating Muslims.”
