Ayatollah Khamenei the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution met this morning with the Armed Forces and basijis of North Khorasan province. Speaking at the meeting, Ayatollah Khamenei said that the Armed Forces create a sense of security against foreign threats of invasion and stressed: "Following the teachings of Islam, we will not attack any country, but at the same time we will not back down against any aggressors either."
His Eminence stressed that the domineering powers engage in warmongering in order to sell weapons and create business opportunities for military industries affiliated with capitalists. He added: "Preparedness of the people and the Armed Forces is the only factor which undermines and destroys the domineering powers' motivation for waging wars."
The Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution reiterated that the people and Armed Forces of Iran are far more prepared than in the past.
Ayatollah Khamenei said that divine remembrance and spirituality are the two main factors which increase the Armed Forces' power of deterrence, further stressing: "In the recent regional wars - in the 33-day war and in the 22-day war on Gaza - small groups of people defeated seemingly powerful armies which were boasting about their power."
His Eminence added: "Today the Iranian nation feels more powerful than any other time. And this feeling is not based on illusions: it is based on the existing realities. Even our enemies know this."
The Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution stressed the need for preserving and strengthening the preparedness of the people and Armed Forces of Iran, further stating: "With their spirit of determination and their preparedness, the people and Armed Forces of Iran have struck so much fear into the enemies' hearts that whatever they say is interpreted as bluffing in the entire world."
