A host of Persian language and literature experts as well as young and veteran poets met with Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei on the eve of the birthday of Imam Hassan Mojtaba, the second Shiite Imam.
In the meeting, the Leader commended the young poets for their well-written poems both in terms of form and content, and said the Persian poetry has remained “pious and modest” in the history of poetry.
“Try to maintain and preserve this piety and purity of the Persian poetry,” Ayatollah Kahmenei said
